CGK Consulting is a community-based organization that believes in a ‘community up’ approach to empower and mobilize students and their families; especially those in the most marginalized communities. CGK strives to use this approach to collaborate with families to attain the educational goals of their children and improve the trajectory of their lives.
Our approach
We believe in future-proofing through an immersive “community up” approach which serves to empower an emerging generation of thinkers, dreamers, and creators. Learning is measured by more than the results on a paper and pencil exam. Evidence of learning is seen as students’ willingness to ask and answer questions, to publicly share their solution to a problem, or to actively work with their peers on a group project when previously they sat in silence. These actions combined with higher test results are some ways we assess learning not to mention the student’s general attitude towards school and academic assignments.
Providing Tutoring at your Convenience
Our mission is to partner with families through community and school-based programs designed to enhance academic excellence, character development, and equitable access to technology, one family at a time.
In-person and remote options
As much as possible students will have one-on-one tutoring time which ensures the plan is tailored to each student’s specific needs. However, if several students demonstrate the same need in a given area then they will be placed in a small group.
